Mini Spring Break

I can say with absolute certainty that one of the worst things about growing up and being an "adult" (I use the quotation marks loosely b/c I'm not entirely sure if the term will ever full apply....i digress,) is the complete and utter lack of adequate vacation/break time.  Now I can't complain that I do get more vacation than most (because I work at a university and often get off ridiculous holidays,) but I really miss the whole spring break thing.  There's something about going home and simply getting away from the city for a while, which is why I decided that this year, I deserved a mini-spring break of my own.  Who needs grown up life? Not me.

Like every time, I always wish I could have seen more people, taken more photos, etc etc, but all in all it was a WONDERFUL trip.  I got to spend a ton of quality time with the fam, see two of my best gals and a new little honorary nephew, and got in a lot of good country music, riding in large trucks, and general hillbilly-ness.  I can't wait to go back in the summer for more family fun time and the lake!  (And of course, Big Al's 50th...he's seriously old balls.)  Anyhoo, here are a few of my favorite pics from the trip!
Yup, there are really that many people there....
I'm fascinated by dad's bees, they just happily buzzed all around me but were never aggressive.  I can't wait to eat some home honey!
I love little signs of spring like these pretty daffodils.  The weather at home was nothing short of amazing, I'm so ready for spring in Boston!!
I was so THRILLED to spend time with two of my best gals, Kimmi and Lucy, (and of course Kenson and Eric, Kimmi's husband currently taking the picture.)  We had such a wonderful afternoon catching up and meeting my new little honorary nephew!  I can't wait to see how big he is when I'm home again!
